7 Tips for Sending Large Flower Arrangements

With Valentine’s Day just past and Mother’s Day around the corner, many of us have flower deliveries on the mind. Sending flowers to someone is a lovely gesture, but sometimes three roses simply won’t do. You need a more extravagant expression, and only a larger bouquet will do.

1.Choose Long-Lasting Varieties

One of the best rules of thumb when sending flowers is to order long-lasting varieties. For one thing, you want to make sure the flowers will last through the shipping process and still be fresh and beautiful when they arrive. But for another, you want your recipient to be able to enjoy their flowers for days or even weeks to come.

Part of the reason roses are so popular as a flower delivery option (aside from their symbolism) is that they tend to last. Delphiniums, carnations, and lilies also tend to be good options that open slowly. You can also go for sunflowers or alstroemerias, sometimes called a Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas. 

2.Take Allergies into Account

Flowers like lilies, jasmine, dusty miller, and sunflowers all have high pollen counts that may send them into a fit of sneezing. 3.Order in Advance
