Florist Amsterdam - Blumen aus den Niederlanden

Ordering flowers to Amsterdam from abroad is straightforward: pay online in USD and a local Amsterdam florist arranges the bouquet fresh, hand-delivering it within 1-2 business days. Prices start around $55, plus a fixed $14.95 service fee — the same flat fee we apply worldwide.

Why send locally arranged flowers to the world's flower capital?

Precisely because Amsterdam takes flowers seriously. This is the city of the Bloemenmarkt on the Singel canal and the gateway to Aalsmeer, home of the world's largest flower auction — Amsterdammers grow up around exceptional stems and can tell a lazy bouquet from a good one. Our florists buy from that same Dutch supply chain, which is arguably the best on earth, and build each arrangement the day of delivery. Tulips in spring are the obvious move, but Dutch-grown peonies in early summer and generous seasonal mixes the rest of the year are what locals actually give each other.

What occasions matter in Amsterdam?

King's Day, April 27, turns the canal ring orange and is a lively date to have something waiting at home afterward. Dutch Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday of May, right in peak tulip season — a lucky overlap. Beyond the calendar, the Dutch habit is casual and frequent: flowers for a dinner invitation, a new apartment in De Pijp or the Jordaan, a promotion, a recovery. A modest, well-made bouquet on an ordinary Tuesday reads as very Dutch; an extravagant one reads as very in love. Both work.

How does hand delivery work across the canals?

An Amsterdam-based florist gets your order, composes it fresh, and delivers by hand — often by bike or cargo bike, the only sensible way through the centrum's narrow streets and bridges. That local knowledge matters in a city where a canal house address might hide a steep staircase and a fourth-floor walk-up. Standard delivery is 1-2 business days; order before noon local time and same-day is frequently possible. Your card message prints exactly as written, in English, Dutch, or Spanish. Checkout takes cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, and Bitcoin — you can pay with Bitcoin natively, no workarounds. abcFlora has run on this local-florist model since 2005 and holds a 4.8/5 rating from more than 377 verified reviews.

Sending outside the capital too? We coordinate flower delivery across the Netherlands, from Rotterdam to the smallest villages, always through a florist on the ground.
