Florist Peking - China Blumen

Sending flowers to Beijing from another country is straightforward: order online in USD and a Beijing florist arranges the bouquet fresh, hand-delivering it within 1-2 business days. Arrangements start around $55, and every order carries the same flat $14.95 service fee — no customs hassle, no international shipping, no boxed flowers.

What flowers work best for Beijing?

Beijing has loved flowers for centuries — the peony, long celebrated in Chinese art as the symbol of prosperity and honor, remains a beloved choice, and red roses carry the same romantic weight here as anywhere. What matters just as much is what to avoid: white chrysanthemums are associated with funerals and mourning in China, so they have no place in a celebration bouquet. This is exactly why we use florists who live and work in the city. They compose arrangements that read correctly to a Beijing recipient, whether it is headed to a courtyard home in the hutongs, a high-rise in Chaoyang, or a university office out in Haidian.

Which dates matter for flower giving in Beijing?

China effectively celebrates love three times a year. Western Valentine's Day on February 14 is big; May 20 is bigger among younger couples, because "5-20" sounds like "I love you" in Mandarin; and Qixi, the traditional Chinese Valentine's on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, usually lands in August. All three sell out roses fast, so order ahead. Mother's Day in May, birthdays, graduations, and business congratulations — a classic occasion for generous arrangements when a company opens or a colleague is promoted — fill out the calendar. Your card message is delivered exactly as written, and you can paste Chinese characters directly if you want the note in the recipient's own language.

How does hand delivery work in a city this big?

Beijing is vast, but your florist is local to it, which means realistic routing across the ring roads and an arrangement built the same day it travels. Standard delivery takes 1-2 business days; same-day is often possible when you order before noon Beijing time — worth noting the city is 8 hours ahead of GMT, so an evening order from Europe or the Americas typically arrives the following day there. A working local phone number for your recipient is essential in China, since couriers and florists confirm by phone before handing anything over. Checkout accepts cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, and lets you pay with Bitcoin natively — often the easiest route when your usual card gives international orders trouble.

We deliver across the country as well, including Shanghai and Guangzhou; the full list lives on our flower delivery across China page. Since 2005, with a 4.8/5 rating from 377+ verified customers, we have made sure that a bouquet sent to Beijing is made in Beijing — fresh that morning, correct in its symbolism, and delivered by hand.
