Florist Bern - Blumen Schweiz

Sending flowers to Bern from abroad is simple: order online in USD, and a florist in the Swiss capital arranges your bouquet fresh, hand-delivering it within 1-2 business days. Bouquets start around $55, with a flat $14.95 service fee on every order — refreshingly predictable for anyone used to Swiss prices.

Why do flowers suit Bern so well?

Bern is a city that takes beauty seriously. Its UNESCO-listed Old Town, wrapped in a bend of the glacier-green Aare, is threaded with kilometers of covered arcades, and window boxes of geraniums spill color from sandstone facades all summer. Above the eastern bank sits the Rosengarten, a public rose garden with over two hundred varieties and the classic postcard view of the Old Town's roofs. In a place like this, a carelessly shipped box of stems would feel wrong — which is why your order goes to a local florist who composes it fresh on delivery day and hands it over in person, whether the address is under the arcades near the Zytglogge or in a quieter quarter like Kirchenfeld or Länggasse.

When do the Swiss send flowers in Bern?

Mother's Day, on the second Sunday of May, is the biggest flower date of the Swiss year — order early that week, because florists everywhere sell through. Valentine's Day is the other peak. The rest is steady and characteristically Swiss: birthdays, dinner-party host gifts (arriving with flowers is simply good manners here), new babies, retirements, and notes of thanks. Bern is also a government and university town, so congratulations for exams passed and posts won are a constant. Your card message travels exactly as you write it — German, French, English, or anything else — and you can place the order in English or Spanish.
