Florist Bukarest - Blumen aus Rumänien

Yes — you can order flowers for Bucharest from anywhere in the world, in US dollars, and a florist based in the city will arrange and hand-deliver them within 1-2 business days. Same-day is often possible before noon local time, and the service fee is a fixed $14.95 no matter what you send.

Which Romanian traditions revolve around flowers?

More than almost anywhere in Europe. On March 1, Martisor opens spring: red-and-white threads are given with snowdrops and early blooms, a custom so distinctive that UNESCO added it to its list of intangible cultural heritage. A week later, March 8 sees practically every woman in Bucharest — mothers, teachers, colleagues — receive flowers. Then comes Florii, Palm Sunday, when everyone named after a flower (Florin, Florina, Viorica, Camelia, Narcisa and many more) celebrates their name day — and in a country where flower names are genuinely common, that makes it one of the busiest florist days of the year. If someone you love in Bucharest carries a flower name, this is the date to circle.

Is there a Romanian alternative to Valentine's Day?

Yes — Dragobete, on February 24, the old folk celebration of love drawn from Romanian legend. Many Bucharest couples now mark both dates, which gives you two chances in a single month to send roses. Add birthdays, name days and anniversaries, and the Romanian calendar offers more flower occasions than most senders abroad ever realise.

Where might your bouquet be heading?

Perhaps an apartment near Cismigiu Gardens, the oldest public garden in the city, or an office tower in the north near Herastrau's lakeside parkland. Maybe a flat above the cafes of the Old Town around Lipscani, where nineteenth-century facades meet a very loud nightlife, or an address off Calea Victoriei near the Romanian Athenaeum's famous dome. Bucharest is a city of contrasts — Belle Epoque villas beside communist-era blocks — and a florist who lives here knows how to find the right staircase, the right interfon code, the right neighbour to leave word with.

What arrives at the door, exactly?

A bouquet arranged fresh that day in Bucharest — never a flat-packed box of stems. You choose the design from 19 arrangements curated for Romania, add a message in any language (it is printed and delivered word for word, diacritics included), and the florist substitutes only with equal or better blooms if a variety is out of season. Our 4.8/5 rating across 377+ verified reviews rests on that promise, and much of it comes from the Romanian diaspora sending home year after year.
