Pick a bouquet online, enter the recipient's Edinburgh address, and a local florist in the city arranges it fresh and hand-delivers it within 1-2 business days — often same day if you order before noon local time. You pay in USD, with bouquets from about $55 plus a flat $14.95 service fee, no matter where in the world you are.
When is the best moment to send flowers to Edinburgh?
Edinburgh runs on a calendar all its own. August turns the whole city into a stage during the Festival and the Fringe, and a bouquet waiting in a flat after a long day of shows lands beautifully. Hogmanay, the city's famous New Year celebration, is another natural moment, as are graduations at the University of Edinburgh in early summer and late autumn. And honestly, the grey months matter most here: a bright arrangement arriving on a dreich January afternoon in Marchmont or Leith does more good than one sent in high summer. St Andrew's Day on 30 November is a quietly meaningful date for anyone with Scottish roots.
What kind of bouquet suits someone in Edinburgh?
Our Edinburgh florists build each arrangement by hand on the day of delivery, working with what is fresh and seasonal rather than shipping anything in a box. Recipients here tend to appreciate that honesty — something textured and garden-style often reads better than a stiff formal bunch. If the person you're sending to has a soft spot for Scotland itself, a note referencing the thistle or heather in your gift message adds a nice touch; the card is delivered exactly as you write it, in English or Spanish, whichever you order in.
How does hand delivery work across Edinburgh?
Because the florist is genuinely local, they know the city's quirks: the tenement stairs of Bruntsfield and Stockbridge, the office buildings of the New Town, the newer developments down by the Leith waterfront. That local knowledge matters in a city built on hills and closes, where a courier from outside would get lost. If the recipient isn't home, the florist will attempt redelivery or coordinate a safe hand-off rather than leaving flowers to wilt on a doorstep. With a 4.8/5 rating across 377+ verified reviews, this florist-to-door model has been our way of working since 2005.
