Florist Frenchtown - Saint Thomas Blumen

To send flowers to Frenchtown from the mainland or anywhere abroad, order online in USD — bouquets from about $55 plus a flat $14.95 service fee — and a florist on St. Thomas arranges them fresh, hand-delivering within 1-2 business days, often same day if you order before noon island time.

What makes Frenchtown different from the rest of St. Thomas?

Frenchtown is one of the most storied corners of the island: a small harborside village settled generations ago by fishing families who emigrated from St. Barthélemy, and their descendants — long known on the island as the "Frenchies" — still shape its identity. A small heritage museum in the village preserves that history, fishing boats still work the harbor, and the little chapel of St. Anne has anchored community life for generations. Today Frenchtown is equally known for its cluster of waterfront restaurants just west of the seaplane ramp, minutes from downtown Charlotte Amalie. Flowers sent here tend to go to longtime resident families, to anniversary dinners at the village's restaurants, and to people who chose this quiet pocket precisely because it feels like old St. Thomas.

When do people send flowers on St. Thomas?

The Virgin Islands celebrate hard. Carnival, held in the weeks after Easter, is the biggest cultural moment of the year and a joyful time for a delivery. Frenchtown adds a date of its own: the village marks Bastille Day each July, a nod to its St. Barth roots and one of the most distinctive celebrations on the island. US holidays anchor the rest: Mother's Day in May is easily the busiest flower day on the island, with Valentine's Day close behind. And because so many St. Thomians have family scattered across the mainland US and the wider Caribbean, everyday long-distance occasions — birthdays, new babies, get-well wishes, sympathy — make up most of what our island florist delivers to Frenchtown doorsteps.

What kind of arrangement should you send?

Whatever suits the moment — because everything is composed on-island the day it goes out, both styles work. Bright tropicals like heliconia, ginger and anthurium shrug off the Caribbean heat and echo the island's own gardens, while classic roses and mixed bouquets hold up beautifully precisely because they never sit in a shipping box. For a dinner reservation at one of the village restaurants, the florist can coordinate timing so the flowers are on the table first.

How does delivery work in a village this small?

Being tiny is Frenchtown's charm and its addressing challenge — lanes are short, houses cluster tightly, and local knowledge beats GPS. Our florist works on-island, arranges every bouquet fresh the day it goes out (tropical heat makes boxed shipped flowers a bad idea here), and hands it over personally. Your gift message is delivered exactly as you write it, and you can order in English or Spanish. The service has operated on this local-florist model since 2005, rated 4.8/5 by verified customers.
