Florist Gjumri - Blumen aus Armenien

Flowers reach Gyumri from overseas faster than most people expect: order online in US dollars, and a local Gyumri florist prepares your bouquet fresh for hand delivery within 1-2 working days. When is flower-giving season in Armenia?

Armenia effectively celebrates a month of women. It opens on March 8 with International Women's Day and closes on April 7 with Motherhood and Beauty Day, a uniquely Armenian holiday — and throughout those weeks, flowers flow freely to mothers, wives, sisters, colleagues and teachers. If you have family in Gyumri, this stretch is the one to plan for; order a couple of days ahead of each date. The calendar has quieter floral moments too: Trndez in mid-February, when newlywed couples jump over bonfires in a rite that blends ancient fire tradition with the church feast of Candlemas, and midsummer Vardavar, the beloved water-splashing festival whose very name comes from vard, the Armenian word for rose. Beyond spring, name days, birthdays and the milestones of diaspora families reconnecting with home keep local florists busy year-round.

What is special about receiving flowers in Gyumri?

Gyumri is Armenia's second city and arguably its most atmospheric: the Kumayri historic district is lined with 19th-century houses built from black and red tuff stone, and the city has long held a reputation as a home of craftsmen, artists and Armenia's sharpest humour. This is a town of blacksmiths and master builders, home to the Aslamazyan Sisters Gallery and a proud theatre tradition, and it rebuilt itself with extraordinary patience after the 1988 earthquake — which is why gestures of care and remembrance carry real weight here. A bouquet delivered to a doorstep near Vardanants Square, where the Church of the Holy Saviour has been painstakingly restored, says more than the same bouquet would almost anywhere else. Winters are properly cold on the Shirak plateau — Gyumri is one of the coldest cities in Armenia — so florists arrange and wrap accordingly; your flowers are composed locally on delivery day, never shipped boxed from abroad.

How do I order from the diaspora?

Most of our Gyumri orders come from relatives in Los Angeles, Moscow, Lyon and beyond, and the process is built for exactly that. You pay in USD — no currency conversion headaches — using cards, PayPal or Shop Pay, and you can even pay with Bitcoin at checkout. Include a local phone number for the recipient so the courier can coordinate, especially for apartment buildings. We have handled international deliveries since 2005 and hold a 4.8/5 rating from more than 377 verified reviews.

What should the card say?

Whatever you write is exactly what arrives — we never paraphrase or translate unless you ask. Many diaspora senders write in Armenian for grandparents and in English for cousins, and both travel perfectly; Russian is widely understood in Gyumri as well. If words fail you, a short line naming the occasion — a birthday, a name day, or simply that you are thinking of them from far away — lands beautifully in a city that prizes wit and warmth in equal measure.

We also deliver to Yerevan, the capital, and to Vanadzor over the mountains in Lori. See flower delivery across Armenia for every city we cover, all at the same flat fee.
