What grows well in Kingstown's tropical climate?

Kingstown has flower credentials most capitals can only envy: its Botanic Gardens, founded in 1765, are among the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. The island's volcanic soil and year-round warmth mean local florists work with tropical material that would cost a fortune elsewhere — anthuriums, heliconias, ginger lilies — alongside imported roses and lilies for classic arrangements. Because every abcFlora bouquet is composed locally rather than flown in a box, your gift reflects what is actually fresh and thriving on Saint Vincent that week. Ask for something tropical if you want the arrangement to feel unmistakably Vincentian.

When do Vincentians celebrate with flowers?

Circle late June and early July, when Vincy Mas — the national carnival — takes over Kingstown with mas bands, calypso and street parties; it is a joyful time to welcome someone home or congratulate a performer. Mother's Day in May is the single biggest flower occasion of the year here, as across the Caribbean, and Christmas brings its own wave of family gatherings and church events. Many of our Kingstown orders come from the Vincentian diaspora in New York, Toronto and London — children sending birthday roses to a mother in town, or sympathy arrangements when distance makes attending a funeral impossible. In those moments a locally made bouquet, delivered by hand, stands in for you honestly.

How does doorstep delivery work across Kingstown?

Kingstown is compact — the old core is known as the City of Arches for its cobblestoned streets and arched stone buildings — and deliveries cover the town and surrounding communities without fuss. Provide a phone number for the recipient; on smaller islands, a quick call is how addresses get confirmed. Your card message travels exactly as written, whether you order in English or Spanish. Payment is flexible: cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, or pay with Bitcoin at checkout, which many overseas senders find simpler than dealing with card currency conversions.

The Grenadines are part of the family too. We deliver to Bequia, the sailing island an hour's ferry south, and to Georgetown on Saint Vincent's windward coast.
