Florist Runavík - Blumen Färöer-Inseln

Yes, you can send flowers to Runavík from abroad: order online and a florist serving the Faroe Islands arranges your bouquet fresh and delivers it by hand, normally within 1-2 business days. Everything is priced in US dollars — bouquets from about $55 — with one flat $14.95 service fee, and you can order in English or Spanish.

Can flowers really be delivered in a Faroese fjord town?

They can, and it works better than you might expect. Runavík stretches along the eastern shore of Skálafjørður, the longest fjord in the Faroes, on the island of Eysturoy. Since the undersea Eysturoy tunnel opened in 2020, the drive between the Tórshavn area and the Skálafjørður villages takes a fraction of the time it once did, which makes reliable flower delivery to Runavík entirely practical. Your bouquet is arranged locally and driven to the door — it never travels boxed through international freight, which matters a great deal this far out in the North Atlantic.

When do people in Runavík celebrate with flowers?

The Faroese summer is short and packed. Ólavsøka, the national festival in late July, brings rowing races, chain dancing, and family gatherings, and it anchors a season of weddings and confirmations across the islands. A bouquet arriving for one of those milestones is a genuine event in a town of this size. The rest of the year, flowers do a different job: through the long, dark winter months, fresh color on a kitchen table in Runavík says more than almost any other gift you could send from overseas.

What about the famous Faroese weather?

Wind and rain can sweep across Eysturoy several times in a single afternoon, so hand delivery is the only method that makes sense here. The florist arranges hardy, well-conditioned stems and brings them directly to the recipient, timing the run around the day's conditions. Include a local phone number for the recipient if you can — in the villages along the fjord, a quick call is how deliveries get coordinated. Your gift message is delivered exactly as you write it, and you can pay with cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, or pay with Bitcoin at checkout.
