Florist Saint-Pierre - Blumen Saint Pierre und Miquelon

Yes — you can send flowers to Saint-Pierre, France's little archipelago off Newfoundland, from anywhere. Order online and a local florist arranges your bouquet fresh, delivering by hand within 1-2 business days. Prices are in US dollars from around $55, with a single flat $14.95 service fee, and you can order in English or Spanish.

How does flower delivery work this far into the North Atlantic?

Saint-Pierre and Miquelon is the last piece of France in North America, a short boat ride from Newfoundland, and its supplies arrive by sea and air on schedules the locals know by heart. Rather than shipping a boxed bouquet across an ocean, we hand your order to a florist working on the islands, who arranges fresh stems and walks or drives them to the door. In a town this compact — brightly painted houses clustered around the harbor, the cathedral and the waterfront all minutes apart — the delivery itself is quick; it is the arranging that gets the care. Note, too, that while the islands use the euro like the rest of France, you pay in US dollars with no conversion surprises.

When do islanders give flowers?

Summer is short and celebrated hard. Bastille Day on July 14 is a full-dress French holiday here, and August brings the annual Basque festival, a nod to the fishermen from the Basque coast who shaped the islands' identity — the fronton court in Saint-Pierre still gets used. French traditions hold year-round too: Fête des Mères in late May, Valentine's Day, and Christmas, when fresh flowers cut through the long grey season better than almost any other gift a relative abroad could send.

What is Saint-Pierre's unlikely claim to fame?

During Prohibition, this tiny French harbour became one of the busiest liquor depots in the Atlantic: warehouses along the waterfront filled with whisky and champagne bound, unofficially, for the thirsty United States, and the islands boomed on the trade. That chapter still colours local storytelling, alongside quieter treasures like the Île aux Marins — the sailors' island just across the harbour, a preserved fishing village of chapels and grassy lanes kept as a memory of the cod era. It is a small place with outsized stories, which makes flowers arriving from far away feel entirely in character.

What about the famous fog?

The cold Labrador Current meets warmer waters near the islands, which is why Saint-Pierre spends so many days wrapped in mist. It rarely stops a local delivery — addresses are minutes apart — but it is one more reason hand delivery beats courier freight in this corner of the Atlantic. Include your recipient's phone number so the florist can confirm someone is home. Your gift message is delivered word for word, and checkout accepts cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, or lets you pay with Bitcoin if that is simpler across borders.

We reach the quieter side of the archipelago as well: see our Miquelon-Langlade collection for the big island, or Savoyard just outside town. The full range is under flower delivery across Saint Pierre and Miquelon.
