Florist Sumqayit - Aserbaidschan Blumen

Getting flowers to Sumqayit from abroad is straightforward: order online, and a local florist in Sumqayit prepares your bouquet fresh and hand-delivers it, usually within 1-2 business days. You pay in USD — bouquets from roughly $55 — plus a single flat $14.95 service fee.

Sumqayit is Azerbaijan's third-largest city, stretched along the Caspian Sea just north of Baku. Once known purely for industry, it has spent recent decades reinventing itself, and its long seaside boulevard has become the city's gathering place — families strolling by the Caspian at sunset is the defining Sumqayit scene. Flowers fit naturally into a culture where hospitality is close to sacred.

What are the big flower occasions in Sumqayit?

Novruz, the spring equinox holiday in late March, is the heart of the Azerbaijani year — weeks of preparation, sprouted wheat (semeni) on every table, and homes opened to guests. Arriving with flowers during Novruz visits is deeply appropriate. March 8, Women's Day, lands just before it, making March the busiest month for florists in the country by far. Add birthdays, engagements — a major flower moment in Azerbaijani families — and university graduations, and there is rarely a bad time to send.

Should I know any local etiquette before ordering?

One custom is worth remembering: in Azerbaijan, as across much of the former Soviet world, bouquets for celebrations carry an odd number of stems — even numbers are for mourning. Our partner florists in Sumqayit compose accordingly, so choosing from this collection keeps you safe. It is also normal for the courier to call the recipient to coordinate, so include a working local phone number. Your card message is delivered exactly as you write it, whether in Azerbaijani, Russian or English.

How do I pay for delivery to Azerbaijan from overseas?

Without touching manat: checkout is in US dollars using cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, or you can pay with Bitcoin directly through our OpenNode integration — often the simplest route for cross-border senders. Same-day delivery is frequently possible when you order before noon local time, and abcFlora, working only through local florists since 2005, holds a 4.8/5 rating across 377+ verified reviews.

We deliver throughout the country too: see flower delivery across Azerbaijan, our Baku collection for the capital next door, or Ganja in the west.
