Florist Kairo - Blumen Ägypten

To send flowers to Cairo from abroad, order online in US dollars and a florist working in the city arranges your bouquet fresh, delivering by hand within 1-2 business days — frequently same-day when you order before noon Cairo time. Every order carries a single flat $14.95 service fee.

When is Mother's Day in Egypt?

March 21 — the first day of spring, and a fixed date every year, unlike the moving Sundays of Europe and the Americas. The date was championed in the 1950s by the journalist brothers Mostafa and Ali Amin, and Egypt's choice went on to spread across much of the Arab world. It is the biggest flower day on the Egyptian calendar, and florists across Cairo work through the night before it. Spring also brings Sham El-Nessim, a holiday with roots going back millennia, when Cairenes head outdoors to parks and the Nile banks. Around Ramadan and the Eids, flowers travel alongside sweets as gestures between families.

How old is Egypt's flower culture?

As old as anything on earth. Floral collars and garlands were laid in pharaonic tombs — examples were found in Tutankhamun's — and the lotus was a symbol of rebirth millennia before anyone printed a gift card. Modern Cairo keeps the thread alive, with flower shops clustered in Zamalek and Heliopolis and roses sold through car windows at traffic lights across the city. A bouquet here lands on very old cultural ground.

How do florists handle Cairo's famous traffic?

By living in it. Cairo is one of the largest cities on earth, and getting from Zamalek's island calm to Heliopolis, Nasr City, Maadi, New Cairo or Sheikh Zayed is a craft in itself. This is precisely why abcFlora never ships flowers into the city: your bouquet is arranged by a Cairo florist and only crosses the neighbourhoods it needs to, timed around the traffic rather than trapped in it. The recipient gets a fresh, vase-ready arrangement, not a battered box.

What should you know before ordering?

Include a working local phone number for the recipient — Cairo buildings often rely on the bawab, the doorman, and a quick call solves everything. Your card message is printed and delivered exactly as written, so Arabic, English or Spanish all work. Bouquets start around $55, and our 4.8/5 rating from 377+ verified reviews comes largely from senders in the diaspora who order for family here every year.

Reaching relatives elsewhere in the country is just as easy — see flower delivery across Egypt, including Giza and Alexandria. Alongside cards, PayPal and Shop Pay, you can pay with Bitcoin directly in the checkout.
