Florist Patras - Blumen Griechenland

Sending flowers to Patras from overseas is simple: place your order online, a local florist in Patras arranges it fresh, and it is hand-delivered within 1-2 business days — same-day is often possible if you order before noon Greek time. Prices are in USD from around $55, plus a flat $14.95 service fee.

Greece's third-largest city and its western gateway, Patras sits where the Gulf of Patras meets the Rio-Antirrio bridge, with ferries leaving daily for Italy. It is a port city and a university city at once, which means plenty of birthdays, graduations and homesick relatives who would love to hear from you — ideally with flowers in hand.

Why do name days matter so much in Patras?

In Greece, name days often outrank birthdays, and in Patras one stands above all: the feast of Saint Andrew on 30 November. Agios Andreas is the city's patron saint, his basilica near the waterfront is one of the largest churches in the Balkans, and every Andreas and Andriana in town celebrates that day. If someone you love in Patras carries the name, flowers on the 30th will mean more than almost any other gesture you could make from abroad.

What is the best season to send flowers to Patras?

Late winter, surprisingly. The Patras Carnival is the biggest in Greece, running from January until Clean Monday with parades, floats and weeks of parties — a season when the whole city is in a celebratory mood and a bouquet lands beautifully. Spring brings mild, bright weather ideal for fresh stems, while in the hot Greek summer our florists lean on hardy local favourites that hold up well between the workshop and the recipient's door.

How does hand delivery work in a city like Patras?

Your arrangement is made up on the day of delivery by a florist who knows the city — from the neighbourhoods climbing toward the medieval castle to the flat grid around Georgiou Square and the port. Because nothing travels in a box, the flowers arrive arranged and ready for a vase. Add the recipient's phone number so the driver can coordinate, and write your card message in English or Greek; it is delivered word for word as you typed it.

We also cover the rest of the country with flower delivery across Greece, including same-network service to Athens and Thessaloniki. Checkout takes cards, PayPal and Shop Pay, and you can even pay with Bitcoin — handy when you are sending across borders and just want the payment to work.
