Florist Sarajevo - Blumen Bosnien und Herzegowina

Ordering flowers for Sarajevo from abroad takes a few minutes: choose a bouquet, pay in USD with a flat $14.95 service fee, and a florist based in Sarajevo arranges and hand-delivers it, typically in 1-2 business days. Same-day delivery is often possible if you order before noon local time.

Sarajevo sits in a narrow valley along the Miljacka river, ringed by mountains that hosted the 1984 Winter Olympics. It is a compact, walkable city — from the copper workshops of Baščaršija to the Austro-Hungarian facades further west — and that compactness works in your favor: local couriers reach most addresses quickly.

What is the best occasion to send flowers to Sarajevo?

March 8, International Women's Day, is the single biggest flower day in Bosnia and Herzegovina — mothers, wives, colleagues and teachers all receive flowers, and Sarajevo's florists work flat out. Order a few days early that week. Beyond March, Sarajevans mark birthdays, graduations and religious holidays across the city's Muslim, Orthodox and Catholic communities, which means the gifting calendar runs nearly year-round. Late summer brings the Sarajevo Film Festival, when the city fills with visitors and congratulatory bouquets are a common sight around Ferhadija street.

Does winter weather affect delivery in Sarajevo?

Sarajevo winters are genuinely cold and snowy — the surrounding peaks of Trebević, Bjelašnica and Jahorina are ski territory. Our partner florists handle this the sensible way: bouquets are wrapped for the cold and delivered by people who drive these hillside streets daily, including the steep mahalas climbing above the old town. Because every arrangement is made fresh in the city rather than shipped, there is no risk of flowers freezing in transit from abroad. In summer, the valley warms up nicely and delivery is straightforward.
