Florist Zagreb - Kroatien Blumen

Sending flowers to Zagreb from abroad takes minutes: order online in USD with a fixed $14.95 service fee, and a local Zagreb florist arranges your bouquet fresh and hand-delivers it within 1-2 business days — often the same day when you order before noon Croatian time.

When do people in Zagreb give flowers?

Zagreb keeps a full flower calendar. Valentine's Day and International Women's Day on March 8 are both observed, Mother's Day follows in May, and name days still carry weight in many Croatian families. The city's most distinctive season, though, is winter: Advent in Zagreb has repeatedly been ranked among Europe's best Christmas markets, and from late November the squares and parks glow for weeks — a lovely backdrop for sending festive arrangements. On the other end, November 1, All Saints' Day, sees the city stream toward the magnificent arcades of Mirogoj cemetery with chrysanthemums and candles, a day of remembrance rather than gifting.

What should you know before sending flowers to Croatia?

Follow local custom on two points. Give an odd number of stems — even numbers are reserved for funerals in Croatia — and save chrysanthemums for remembrance, never romance. Your Zagreb florist handles both instinctively, which is the quiet advantage of local fulfillment over international shipping. Taste in the city runs toward the classic and seasonal: tulips in spring, peonies in early summer, roses always. Zagreb sits at the foot of Medvednica mountain with real continental winters, so hand delivery from a nearby workshop beats a cold courier box every time.

How does delivery cover Zagreb's districts?

Comfortably. Florists deliver from the Upper Town's gaslit lanes around St. Mark's Church down to the cafés of Tkalčićeva, across Ban Jelačić Square — a short walk from the Dolac market, where flower sellers have traded for a century — and out to Novi Zagreb's blocks south of the Sava. The bouquet is built the morning of delivery and brought personally, with your gift message delivered exactly as you wrote it in any language.
