Florist Angra do Heroísmo - Azoren Blumen

Sending flowers to Angra do Heroísmo from abroad is easy: order online in USD, and a florist on Terceira island arranges your bouquet fresh and hand-delivers it within 1-2 business days. Arrangements start around $55, plus a flat $14.95 service fee — the same fee for every destination, mid-Atlantic islands included.

What is special about giving flowers on Terceira?

Angra do Heroísmo is a UNESCO World Heritage city — its Renaissance street grid, pastel facades, and harbor beneath the green cone of Monte Brasil have been protected since 1983. And Terceira, like the rest of the Azores, practically grows flowers on its own: hydrangea hedges line the island's roads and divide its pastures, blooming blue and white through the summer. Sending a bouquet here joins an existing habit rather than starting one — Azoreans decorate churches, festas, and family tables with flowers as a matter of course, and a locally made arrangement fits right into that rhythm.

Which local celebrations are worth timing a delivery around?

The Sanjoaninas in late June are the headline: a week-plus of parades, bullfights on a rope, marching bands, and street parties that rank among the largest festivals in the Azores. The Festas do Espírito Santo run through spring and summer in every parish, with their crowned altars and community feasts. Many Terceirenses have family in Canada, the United States, or mainland Portugal, so flowers sent from abroad for a mother's birthday, a festa, or a saudade-tinged anniversary are a familiar and welcome gesture. The mild oceanic climate means fresh local stems are available in every season.

How does an order from another country actually arrive?

Your order is assigned to a florist working on the island, who composes the bouquet on delivery day and brings it by hand — nothing crosses the Atlantic in a box. Standard timing is 1-2 business days, with same-day often possible if you order before noon Azores time. Prices are in USD, useful for the large emigrant community ordering from North America, and checkout accepts cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, and Bitcoin — you can pay with Bitcoin directly. Write your message in Portuguese, English, or Spanish; it is delivered exactly as typed.

abcFlora covers flower delivery across the Azores, island by island — including Ponta Delgada on São Miguel and Horta on Faial, each served by its own local florist.
