Florist Ponta Delgada - Azoren Blumen

Sending flowers to Ponta Delgada from abroad works like this: you order online, a local florist on São Miguel makes the bouquet fresh, and it is hand-delivered within 1-2 business days — often same-day before noon local time. Everything is priced in USD with a flat $14.95 service fee.

Few places on earth are as flower-mad as the Azores. São Miguel's roadsides and pasture walls are famously hedged with blue hydrangeas, the crater lakes of Sete Cidades draw visitors from everywhere, and Ponta Delgada itself greets arrivals through the eighteenth-century arches of the Portas da Cidade. Sending flowers here is joining a local obsession, not interrupting one.

What makes spring special for flowers in Ponta Delgada?

Five weeks after Easter, the city holds the festival of Santo Cristo dos Milagres, the largest religious festival in the Azores. The streets around the Convento da Esperança are carpeted with intricate designs made of flowers and colored materials, and emigrants fly home from North America in the thousands. If you have Azorean family or friends and cannot make the trip, flowers delivered during festival week say everything you would want to say in person.

Does the Azorean climate change what you should send?

Happily, it helps. São Miguel's mild, humid oceanic climate — rarely too hot, rarely cold — is kind to cut flowers in every season, which is part of why the island grows so much so easily. Our florists compose with what is best that week, from classic roses to seasonal island stems, and because every bouquet is arranged the day it is delivered, it arrives ready for the vase rather than recovering from a journey.

How does hand delivery work on the island?

Ponta Delgada is a compact seafront city, and local couriers know it street by street — the historic core with its basalt-and-whitewash pavements, the residential parishes climbing behind it, the hotels along the marina. Include the recipient's phone number so the driver can coordinate, and write your card message in English, Portuguese or Spanish; it is delivered exactly as typed.

We also reach the other islands with flower delivery across the Azores, including Angra do Heroísmo on Terceira and Horta on Faial. Checkout supports cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, and the option to pay with Bitcoin — whichever suits you, the flat fee never changes.
