To send flowers to Papeete from overseas, order online in USD and a florist on Tahiti arranges your bouquet fresh, delivering it by hand within 1-2 business days. Arrangements start around $55, and the service fee is a flat $14.95 for every order — the same whether you send to Papeete or anywhere else we deliver.

What do flowers mean in Papeete?

In Tahiti, flowers are not an occasional gift — they are a language. The tiare Tahiti, the small white gardenia that scents the whole island, is French Polynesia's national flower, worn behind the ear, strung into welcome garlands, and pressed into monoï oil. At the Marché de Papeete, the capital's great two-storey market hall, flower stalls sell crowns and leis alongside vanilla and fish, and locals buy blooms as casually as bread. Sending a bouquet here joins a tradition the recipient already lives inside; our partner florists work with that abundance, mixing tropical stems and classic varieties into arrangements with real island character.

When should my bouquet arrive in Papeete?

The French calendar sets the fixed dates — Fête des Mères in late May, Valentine's Day in February, the first of May — but Tahiti adds its own high season: Heiva i Tahiti, the July festival of dance, song, and sport that is the cultural peak of the Polynesian year, when Papeete fills with performances and family gatherings. Birthdays, new babies, and homecomings round things out; with so many Tahitians studying or working in metropolitan France, a bouquet sent home across twelve time zones carries particular weight. Same-day delivery is often possible when you order before noon Tahiti time; otherwise allow one to two business days.

How do I handle payment from overseas?

French Polynesia uses the Pacific franc, but you can ignore the exchange rate entirely: our prices are in US dollars, fixed at checkout. Pay by card, PayPal, Shop Pay, or pay with Bitcoin — an option that suits senders this far from their recipients. Order in English or Spanish even though the island runs on French and Tahitian, and rest assured your message is delivered exactly as written, so "ia ora na" will reach them letter-perfect. Every arrangement is made fresh in the city on delivery day by a local florist, never shipped boxed across the Pacific, and our 4.8/5 rating over 377+ verified reviews reflects that standard.

Greater Papeete spills into neighbouring communes along Tahiti's north coast, and we deliver there too: see our pages for Faaa and Mahina, or browse flower delivery across French Polynesia for the full picture — one flat fee, island-fresh flowers, wherever they call home.
