Florist Thessaloniki - Blumen aus Griechenland

To send flowers to Thessaloniki from abroad, order online in USD and a florist in the city composes your bouquet fresh, delivering it by hand in 1-2 business days. Prices start around $55, the service fee is a flat $14.95, and orders placed before noon Greek time can often go out the same day.

What role do name days play in Thessaloniki?

A bigger one than birthdays, many Greeks would tell you. The city's own patron, Saint Demetrios, is honored on October 26, when every Dimitris and Dimitra celebrates and the whole city takes a holiday; the Dimitria cultural festival runs through the season around it. If someone you love in Thessaloniki is named after a saint, their name day is the moment a bouquet lands with full force. Add Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May, Valentine's Day, and Easter, the emotional center of the Greek year, and you have a calendar with no shortage of reasons.

Where in the city do bouquets go?

Everywhere from the cafes around Aristotelous Square and the seafront promenade by the White Tower to the steep lanes of Ano Poli, the upper town that survived the 1917 fire and still feels like a village above the city. The restored warehouses of Ladadika, the student blocks near the university campus, and the eastern residential districts along the gulf are all routine territory for our local partner. Thessaloniki is Greece's second city and a huge university town, with the Aristotle University campus sitting right in the center, so expect graduation bouquets in high demand each summer. The evening volta along the waterfront is a city institution, and more than one of our senders has timed a delivery so the flowers were waiting at home after that walk. A phone number for the recipient keeps apartment-building deliveries painless, since most Thessalonians live in mid-rise blocks with buzzers rather than doormen. Hospital and office deliveries are routine as well; just include the department or company name so the courier is not left guessing at a reception desk.

Why order through abcFlora instead of shipping flowers?

Because nothing survives a courier box in a Greek July. Your arrangement is made fresh in Thessaloniki on the day it is delivered, by a florist who knows what is in season locally, and handed over in person. You can order in English or Spanish, and the message you write, in Greek if you like, is delivered letter for letter. Payment takes cards, PayPal, Shop Pay, or you can pay with Bitcoin via OpenNode, and the USD pricing means no surprises on your statement. Since 2005 we have built a 4.8/5 rating on 377+ verified reviews doing exactly this.
