Florist Antwerp - Belgium Flowers

Send flowers to Antwerp from abroad by ordering online in USD: a florist based in the city arranges your bouquet fresh and hand-delivers it within 1-2 business days. Prices start around $55, plus a flat $14.95 service fee that stays the same for every country we deliver to.

What do you need to know about Antwerp's own Mother's Day?

Here is the detail that trips up senders every year: while the rest of Belgium celebrates Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May, Antwerp celebrates it on August 15, the Feast of the Assumption. It is a proudly local tradition, and an Antwerp mother expects her flowers in mid-August, not May — though plenty of families now quietly honor both dates. If your recipient is a moeder in Antwerp, mark the 15th. It is one of the busiest flower days of the city's year, so ordering a couple of days ahead is wise.

How does delivery work in a city like Antwerp?

Antwerp is compact and dense: the old center around the Grote Markt and the cathedral, the diamond district by Central Station, the gallery streets of Het Zuid, and the Art Nouveau facades of Zurenborg — famously along Cogels-Osylei — are all within a short ride of each other. A local florist covers this ground daily, builds your arrangement the morning of delivery, and brings it by hand; nothing is shipped in a box. Standard timing is 1-2 business days, and same-day delivery is often available if you order before noon Belgian time.

Which other occasions and details matter?

Beyond August 15, Antwerpenaars give flowers for Valentine's Day, birthdays, new homes in fast-changing districts like Het Eilandje near the MAS museum, and the constant round of dinner invitations where arriving with a bouquet is standard Flemish manners. Ordering from abroad is deliberately simple: USD pricing, a fixed $14.95 fee, and checkout by card, PayPal, Shop Pay, or Bitcoin — you can pay with Bitcoin natively if that is how you prefer to move money internationally. Gift messages are delivered exactly as written, in Dutch, French, English, or Spanish. abcFlora has operated on this model since 2005, with a 4.8/5 rating from more than 377 verified reviews.

We also handle flower delivery across Belgium, including Brussels and the canal-side university city of Ghent, each through its own local florist.
