Ordering and delivery questions — Spain
When will my flowers arrive in Spain?
Flowers to Spain are delivered from the next day, Monday to Saturday. Choose the date in the cart when you order; same-day delivery isn't available for Spain. Exact delivery times can't be guaranteed because each local florist plans its own route.
How much does it cost to send flowers to Spain?
Bouquets for Spain start at $44.95, plus a flat US$14.95 delivery and service fee shown before checkout. Everything is charged in US dollars. There are no customs or import fees because a florist in Spain makes the bouquet; nothing is shipped from abroad.
Do you deliver in Spain on Sundays or public holidays?
No. We deliver Monday to Saturday. In Spain we are also closed on New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May 1 (Labour Day), and December 25 and 26. If you pick one of those dates, the cart moves your order to the next delivery day.
How do I schedule Mother's Day flowers in Spain in 2027?
Mother's Day in Spain is the first Sunday of May: Sunday, May 2, 2027. We don't deliver on Sundays and Saturday, May 1 is Labour Day, so schedule Friday, April 30. For Sant Jordi (Friday, April 23, 2027) roses can be delivered that same day, and for Christmas 2026 the last delivery day is Thursday, December 24.
What details does the florist need for a delivery in Spain?
The recipient's full name, the complete address in Spain (street, number, floor and door (piso y puerta), five-digit postcode and city) and a local phone number the florist can call. Add any gate or building code. If something is missing the florist still attempts delivery, and the order can't be cancelled because the flowers are prepared for the recipient.
Will the bouquet look exactly like the photo?
The florist follows the photo as closely as possible. If a flower or colour isn't available that day, it may be replaced with the most similar flowers of equal or greater value. Rose orders are never substituted: if your roses aren't available, we contact you first.
What language should I write the card in?
Write your card message in any language (English, Spanish or both) and the florist includes it with the bouquet. Please sign it with your name: anonymous orders are not accepted.
What is Sant Jordi and why should I send roses on April 23rd in Catalonia?
Sant Jordi (Saint George's Day) is Catalonia's most romantic celebration — a beautiful tradition where couples exchange roses and books on April 23rd. Men give a red rose to the women they love; women give a book in return. Barcelona's streets fill with flower stalls overflowing with roses. If you want to send roses to someone in Catalonia for this occasion, order for April 23rd — it's the region's Valentine's Day and the most flower-intensive day of the Catalan calendar.
Can you deliver flowers to the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands?
Yes! We deliver to the main cities of the Canary Islands (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife) and the Balearic Islands (Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza Town, Mahón in Menorca). These island territories require their own local florist coordination, but our partners are well established on the islands.
When is Mother's Day in Spain?
Mother's Day (Día de la Madre) in Spain is celebrated on the first Sunday of May — slightly earlier than in the US (second Sunday of May). Make sure to use the correct Spanish date when ordering flowers for Mother's Day from abroad.
What are Spain's Patio Festivals and how do flowers relate?
Córdoba's famous Patio Festival (Concurso de Patios) in May is one of Spain's most extraordinary floral events. Private home courtyards are decorated floor-to-ceiling with geraniums, carnations, roses, and jasmine in a spectacular display of color and fragrance — a tradition that dates back centuries and was inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list. If you're sending flowers to someone in Córdoba in May, reference the patio festival for an instant cultural connection.
