Florist Funchal - Madeira Flowers

To send flowers to Funchal from abroad, order online in USD — bouquets from about $55 plus a flat $14.95 service fee — and a florist in the city arranges everything fresh, hand-delivering within 1-2 business days, often same day when you order before noon Madeira time.

Why is Funchal one of the best cities anywhere to send flowers?

Madeira calls itself the island of eternal spring, and Funchal proves it: the subtropical climate keeps gardens blooming year-round, and the city's flower culture runs deep. Every spring the Festa da Flor — Funchal's famous Flower Festival — fills the streets with floral carpets, parades and children building a wall of flowers. At the Mercado dos Lavradores, flower sellers in traditional dress have been part of the scene for generations. Strelitzias, orchids, proteas and agapanthus grow superbly here, so a bouquet arranged by our local Funchal florist can include blooms that feel unmistakably Madeiran.

When do Madeirans give flowers?

Portuguese Mother's Day, the first Sunday of May, sits right beside Flower Festival season — a wonderful window to send. Funchal's end-of-year fireworks over the amphitheatre of the bay draw families together for New Year, and All Saints' Day on 1 November remains a serious flower tradition, with families honouring relatives at the island's cemeteries. There is also the emigrant factor: Madeirans abroad — in Venezuela, South Africa, the UK, the US — send flowers home constantly, and those orders are the heart of what we deliver here.

How does delivery work in a city built on a hillside?

Funchal rises steeply from the harbour toward Monte, its streets switchbacking through banana terraces and garden suburbs. Local knowledge is not optional — it is the whole job. Our florist arranges your bouquet fresh on delivery day (never boxed and shipped) and hand-carries it whether the address is in the old town's Zona Velha, a hotel along the Lido, or a house high above the city. Order in English or Spanish; your card message is delivered exactly as written, in Portuguese if you wish.

We deliver across the island too — see flower delivery across Madeira, including the fishing town of Câmara de Lobos just west and historic Machico to the east. Pay by card, PayPal, Shop Pay, or pay with Bitcoin directly in checkout.
