Florist Kourou - French Guiana Flowers

To send flowers to Kourou from another country, order online and a florist based in French Guiana composes your bouquet fresh, delivering it by hand in 1-2 business days. Prices are in USD from roughly $55, the service fee is a flat $14.95, and same-day delivery is often available for orders placed before noon local time.

What makes Kourou an unusual place to send flowers?

Kourou is the town where Europe launches rockets. The Guiana Space Centre sits just outside it, and Ariane launches have shaped the town's rhythm and population for decades — engineers, technicians and their families rotate through from mainland France alongside Creole, Brazilian and Maroon communities. That mix means plenty of long-distance relationships: partners back in Toulouse or Paris, parents an ocean away, colleagues marking a successful mission. A bouquet arranged locally and delivered to a door in Kourou closes that distance in a way a video call cannot. Offshore, the Îles du Salut float on the horizon; onshore, the climate is equatorial, so tropical blooms are in their element year-round.

Which French traditions shape flower-giving here?

French Guiana is fully part of France, and its flower calendar shows it. Fête des Mères, in late May or early June, is the year's biggest occasion by far. La Toussaint on 1 November brings chrysanthemums and remembrance flowers for family graves, observed here with real devotion. Carnival season, running from Epiphany to Ash Wednesday, is among the longest in the world in French Guiana — weeks of parades and touloulou balls that also mean birthdays and reunions get celebrated in high spirits. Valentine's Day, births and anniversaries round out the year. If your date falls near Mother's Day, order a couple of days early; demand across the département peaks sharply.

How long does delivery to Kourou take?

Standard delivery runs 1-2 business days, with same-day possible before the noon cutoff. Your florist builds the arrangement the day it goes out — nothing travels in a cardboard box from overseas — and delivers across town, from the older centre near the Kourou River to the residential neighborhoods that house space-industry families. Add the recipient's phone number so delivery can be coordinated around work schedules. You can order in English or Spanish even though the town runs in French; your gift message is delivered exactly as you wrote it. Checkout takes cards, PayPal and Shop Pay, and you can also pay with Bitcoin via our native crypto option.
