Florist Ottawa - Canada Flowers

Sending flowers to Ottawa from outside Canada is easy: order online in USD, and a local Ottawa florist designs your bouquet fresh, delivering it by hand within 1-2 business days — often same-day when you order before noon Eastern time. Arrangements start around $55, plus one flat $14.95 service fee on every order.

Is Ottawa really Canada's tulip capital?

It is, and the story behind it is one of the nicest in the flower world. During the Second World War, the Dutch royal family sheltered in Ottawa, and the Netherlands has sent the city tulip bulbs in gratitude ever since. The result is the Canadian Tulip Festival each May, when hundreds of thousands of tulips blaze through Commissioners Park beside Dow's Lake and the whole capital turns out to see them. If you want to send flowers to Ottawa at the moment the city is most in love with them, mid-May is unbeatable — though a tulip-forward bouquet lands well here in any season, because Ottawans genuinely know their tulips.

What's the best timing for flower delivery in Ottawa?

Alongside the festival, the usual Canadian calendar applies: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May (a double-booked month for Ottawa florists — order early), Thanksgiving in October, and the December holidays. Ottawa's winters are famously fierce; when the Rideau Canal freezes into its celebrated skateway and Winterlude takes over February, a bright arrangement arriving at a warm front door in the Glebe or Westboro is about as welcome as gifts get. Our florists deliver across the city, from Centretown condos to family homes in Orleans, Kanata, and Barrhaven, and every bouquet is arranged fresh in Ottawa on delivery day — never shipped in a box.

How do international payments work?

Everything is priced in US dollars, so senders in the States or anywhere else skip the exchange-rate math entirely. Pay by card, PayPal, Shop Pay, or pay with Bitcoin at checkout — an option almost no flower service offers natively. You can order in English or Spanish, and the card message reaches your recipient exactly as you wrote it, in either official language or any other. We have been doing international flower delivery since 2005 and hold a 4.8/5 rating across more than 377 verified reviews, so your gift to the capital is in practiced hands.

Ottawa is one of dozens of Canadian cities we serve through local florists, from coast to coast. If you have people in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, or anywhere between, start from our flower delivery across Canada collection — the same flat $14.95 fee and the same fresh, locally arranged bouquet apply in every one of them.
